As it is reasonable the last half of the century has many monumental
changes in technology and its benefits. The social media has invested in our
lifes. As a consequence many teenagers prefer to text or chat with their
friends online on social account and others fortunately prefer face- to- face
communication with their friends. Finally, these was of conversation have
advantages and
disadvantages for teens.
The former way of conversation –text
or chat online- is the most popular nowadays. It decreases the distances, for
example if their friend is abroad, they can see him/her as if they are next to
them. This is one of the benefits that the latter way of conversation doesn’t
have. Furthermore, they can meet new friends online from all over the world and
talk about their different civilizations and so on. Although this is
disadvantage at the same time because many teens don’t know the internet is
dangerous; many people are lurking behind false online profiles.
The face- to- face
communication is more traditional all these years. This way is more emotional.
You can see, touch and smell the other; we all combine people with special
perfume. This advantage is unique. Secondly, you can see the face of your
interlocutor -you can understand if he/she lies or not- this is difficult to
perceive by texting. On the other hand, many teens don’t prefer this way
because you must have time to see the others and this is difficult; during the
day we all have things to do and we can’t meet our friends every time we need
to say something, so we can call or text them.
To conclude, both of these
communications ways have advantages and disadvantages. Personally I use them
but I prefer the face-to-face conversation because you can express yourself and
your opinions better than with a text. I suggest to the teens to use our phones
less and meet more with their friends.
